🏡 Meet the Family that keeps me sane

Rhys – The Tea & Cheer Chief

My forever supportive Husband, endlessly patient, and the maker of all mid-painting cuppas (and cheeky bevs).
Encourages every idea, no matter how wild, the behind-the-scenes MVP who keeps everything running.

🎨 Blair & Tate – The Mini Muses

Forever impressed by everything I do, from drawings to lame magic tricks.
Big imaginations, bigger hearts, and the constant reminder of why this all began. Forever grate for these two!

Phillip, Winston & Franklin – The OG Inspirations 🐾

Every masterpiece starts with a wagging tail.
Phillip sparked the dream, Winston keeps the motivation high, and Franklin makes sure no snack goes uneaten.
Three dogs, endless joy, and the heartbeat behind every portrait.

✨The Heart Behind Tones by Kyra✨

Hi! I’m Kyra, 34 years young and forever chasing creative sparks.
I’ve always been an artist at heart, but like so many of us, I spent years putting my creative dreams on the back burner while life kept me busy.

Then came 2022, the year everything changed. I welcomed my beautiful son into the world, and while soaking up those precious first months of motherhood, I had this sudden realisation: If I don’t follow my dreams now, how can I teach him to follow his?

So there I was, juggling night feeds, nap times, three dogs, an amazing partner (and his gorgeous daughter), and a brand-new creative venture. I wanted to show our kids that it’s never too late, that even with self-doubt and chaos, you can turn a dream into something real.

Tones by Kyra was born out of love, for family, for creativity, and for our furry little crew. It all began when I was designing the perfect nursery and couldn’t find art that felt personal or meaningful. Everything felt so… generic. Then it clicked, why not create art inspired by our own dogs?
Fun, familiar, and sentimental. The kind of pieces that make you smile every time you walk by.

Now, whether your portrait hangs in the bedroom, kids’ room, loungeroom, entryway, or even the garage, my hope is that it brings a little joy, colour, and heart into your home.

If you’ve made it this far Thank you. I’m truly so grateful you’re here and I can’t wait to create something special for you and your loved ones. 💛

🐾 From Tiny No-Name to Dream Collaborations

When I first started Tones by Kyra, it was just me, my drawing pad, and a very needy dachshund named Phillip. I was sketching between nap times, surrounded by half-finished cups of tea and a head full of ideas, hoping maybe one day someone outside my family would notice my work.

Fast-forward a little, and somehow this tiny dream turned into collaborations with some of my all-time favourite brands!

Pablo & Co.

These guys were the first to give me a real shot, and honestly, I’ll never forget it. The owners are absolute legends and I'm so honored to be able to work with them. My illustrations now feature on their website, delivery boxes, and even their work van! Honestly a dream collab to work with them and have been the biggest fan since i got Phillip in 2018 just 2 years prior to them starting out. Its been so incredible watching them grow into the most popular pet brand Australia has!

Pablo & Co. will always hold the biggest place in my heart, not just for believing in me when I was still finding my feet, but for showing me what it means to collaborate with good people who love what they do. I’d honestly do anything for them. 🐶💛

Peter Alexander

A brand I’ve adored since i was little and really bought out my love for dachshunds. My artwork was featured in their 'Best in Show' range across Women's, Men's, Kids and Baby lines, and let’s just say seeing my pet portraits on their products was the kind of pinch-me moment you dream about when you’re doodling between loads of laundry.

From sketching in my living room to partnering with brands I’ve loved for years, it’s been one wild, wonderful ride; and I’m so grateful for every paw print along the way.
